As part of a ‘New Initiative’, I am pleased to announce that we will be having 2 Retreat segments via ZOOM, leading up to our annual Investiture celebrations.
As you are well aware, part of what it means for us to belong to this auspicious Order, is our ongoing spiritual life development. The commissioning that we received at our Baptism is an entrance into the Sacramental Life of Christ and, when we accepted the invitation to become a Knight or Dame of the Holy Sepulchre, we accepted too, the obligation to witness all the more robustly to our Baptismal Promises. To that end therefore, I am happy to announce that on the 14 th of September, the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross and the 5 th of October, the Memorial of Blessed Bartolo Longo, we will be having our ‘Aspirants and Promotees’ Retreat. Each segment will be approximately 60 to 90 minutes maximum, the focus of which will be the nature of living out a chivalric life in modern times in light of our Baptismal Promises and, the role that chivalric charisms play in a life of grace, mercy and charity.
All ‘Aspirants’ and ‘Promotees’ are asked to make this an obligation and each member of the Order is encouraged to participate as well. These Retreat Segments will also provide an opportunity for the Lieutenancy to assist in preparing our Aspirants especially, by coming together in support of their enrollment and in witnessing to the confraternity that is ours in this ancient and honourable Chivalric Order.

Lenten Retreat 2023
The Grand Magestirium has requested Lieutenancies to work towards enhancing the spiritual development and growth of all members of The Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchur of Jerusalem.
Lent is the most appropriate time in the liturgical calender to come to gather as an Order to pray , worship and meditate on the passion , death and resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are very fortunate to have Fr Edwin Gonsalves, Rector of St Augustine's Seminary ,who will be developing the content of the retreat in collaboration with members of the faculty at the seminary.
I can assure you this will be a spiritually rewarding retreat as we gather and worhip together. I hope that ALL our members (and their non-member spouses ) will consider attending the retreat which will include Holy Mass , Adoration , Benediction , Biblical Reflections , tour of the seminary , meeting our seminarians. Lunch and refreshments will be provided .
Please consider inviting a potential member/friend to this Retreat. There will be a nominal cost to cover refreshments and lunch.Registration information will be forwarded to you in the next few weeks
